Seeking to broaden his impact, he expanded his practice into domestic relations, where he represented clients in divorce, custody, and family-law related matters. This work strengthened his ability to advocate for individuals during some of the most challenging times in their lives, and it deepened his skill in negotiation, motion practice, and trial advocacy.
Driven by a commitment to advocacy and trial work, he later joined the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office as a Deputy District Attorney. In that role, he prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, gaining invaluable insight into charging decisions, law-enforcement investigations, and courtroom dynamics. His experience as a prosecutor now serves as a significant advantage in his role as a defense attorney, allowing him to anticipate government strategies and build stronger, more informed defenses for his clients.
Ultimately, he transitioned to criminal defense full-time and joined The Law Office of Rodemer & Kane, where his combined background in civil litigation, family law, prosecution, and defense work positioned him uniquely within the field. He now serves as the firm’s Managing Attorney, representing his clients in a variety of criminal defense matters while ensuring the highest standards of representation for every client.
